Day-to-day work

Bring your files together

Give Typework the price lists, documents and reference material your business actually uses.

Upload and organise

  1. Open Drive and choose a writable folder, or create one for your topic.
  2. Use Upload or the file picker to add the files. Wait until the upload completes.
  3. Open a file to check the contents. Use clear names such as “Current price list — September”.
  4. Keep related files together: services, booking rules, staff information and marketing materials.

A file is a reference; a sheet holds records

A PDF price list in Drive is useful reference material. Booking rows in Sheet are records you can work with. Uploading a spreadsheet file does not, by itself, prove that all of its rows have become the records used by your pages or assistants.

TRY ASKING
Review this customer spreadsheet. Tell me which columns match our Customers records and which details are missing. Show a small sample before importing anything.

Use the right source in a conversation

Attach or select the file when asking a question. If an assistant needs to use a document regularly, check its knowledge or instructions too. A file being stored in Drive is not proof that every assistant will use it.

Recover or reconnect

If you removed a file, check Trash for a restore option. Do not permanently delete it while you still need it. If a cloud source is connected, check the connected account and access when a file is missing; importing a file should not be treated as a promise of continuous two-way updates.
